Keys to Reduce Inflammation

We recently hosted a wellness webinar about health and aging called Your Health After 40. As we get older, health screenings, regular check-ups, nutrition, and physical activity become increasingly important. Reducing inflammation, which heavily contributes to aging, is also a good practice for those who are approaching or over 40 years old.

Be sure to incorporate these 5 practices to reduce inflammation and age well.

  1. Consume whole foods. Eat berries, salmon, leafy greens, and whole grains which are all packed with vital nutrients.
  2. Get movement. Take a walking lunch, practice yoga, and add resistance training to your weekly workout routine.
  3. Aid digestion. Eat slowly, add fibrous foods or supplements, and drink plenty of water.
  4. Strengthen your immunity. Help your body stay healthy with zinc, vitamin C, and antioxidants from foods and supplements.
  5. Take time to relax. Make sure you schedule time in your day to recharge, meditate, and get quality sleep.
