Scooter Brown is a Motorist Assistant Technician. He helps drivers with things like inflating tires, giving gas, or other roadside help. His job keeps him moving, which is important to him because he cares about staying healthy.
Describe the starting point of your journey and the factors that led to this decision.
Scooter started focusing on his health when he realized he needed to maintain his weight. Since his job is active, he knew that being in good shape would help him do his job better and improve his life. This motivated him to live a healthier lifestyle.
What were some challenges or obstacles you encountered during your wellness journey?
One big challenge for Scooter was staying consistent with his daily activity, especially trying to get the same number of steps every day. Some days were tougher than others, whether it was because of a busy schedule.
Which wellness practices or habits have you incorporated into your routine?
Scooter tries to work out every day after work, but he’s flexible and fits in exercise whenever he can. He also focuses on eating more protein to support his fitness goals and keep his energy up.
How has your wellness journey influenced your daily life, including work, relationships, and overall well-being?
The MoveSpring app has positively impacted his and keeps him motivated. The app allows him to compete with others to see who can get the most steps, pushing him to stay active and engaged.
What advice would you give to someone who is just starting their wellness journey?
Scooter’s advice to those just starting out is to stay with it – don’t give up.
What was the last random act of kindness you did?
Scooter recently volunteered his time at UA’s family movie night.
