August Kindness Champions

We are celebrating and recognizing the kindness that happens around us at UA! Check out all the Kindness Champions from August below.

Give a shoutout to a colleague or UA community member who radiates kindness, performed a particularly kind act, or helped you when you needed. Each Kindness Champion receives a card with the note from the nominator, and the submission will be posted on our Kindness Champions webpage.

I’ve worked with Tracy the entire time I have been at UA (almost 10 Years) and she has always been kind, no matter what is going on. She always wants to do the right thing and is literally just an all-around kind human!

Jennifer Clark

Jennifer is one of the most dedicated, hardworking individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting here at UA. She goes above and beyond to assist her co-workers and is always eager to help in any way possible. No matter the task’s size (or how many questions I ask), she has never made me feel like I have inconvenienced her. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. Our departments interact often in assisting faculty/staff when issues arise; she often teaches me valuable skills that I need to do my job well and accurately. If anyone is deserving of being a kindness champion, it is Jennifer.

– Robyn Lavinsky

Sandy Fuentes

Sandy is an excellent medical assistant and is always busy in taking patients. However, she is always kind and will help any patient that speaks Spanish understand our forms and policies. Not only will she interpret for us, but she helps them fill out their forms also. She is always pleasant and kind and never rushes anyone.

Kirk Walter

During his time in the Law Library, Kirk has worked hard to make sure students know that both the spaces and the people in the library are resources for promoting not just knowledge, but also wellness. In addition to creating mindfulness spaces within the library and posting about wellness on the Law Library’s social media pages, he also holds fun, interactive games where students can look for small “treasures” (everything from toy ducks to gnomes) that they can trade in for prizes. Law School can be a stressful time, so having a champion who reminds students that they are allowed to focus on their own wellbeing is incredibly important. We’re so glad he’s part of our community!
