March is National Nutrition Month, Wellness and Work-Life is making it fun and easier than ever for faculty and staff to embrace healthy eating habits. This year’s focus is to learn the different ways in which food connects us together. Through engaging activities and classes like Better Bites and Taste of Tradition, employees can expand their knowledge and make healthier eating more accessible.

The Better Bites series is an in-person nutrition series led by Suzanne Henson, Registered Dietitian at University Medical Center. It is designed to help you learn which foods fuel your body best, what style of meals you prefer, and how to prepare simple, cost-effective meals and snacks. Additionally, the Taste of Tradition initiative allows faculty and staff to upload and share their favorite nutritious recipes with colleagues, fostering a community of wellness and inspiration. These efforts align with the goals of National Nutrition Month, which encourages mindful eating, connecting through food, and making informed choices when preparing meals.

By attending these events, you will learn how to make your meals healthier and earn points toward WellBAMA Rewards.
