Application deadline is approaching to become a WellBAMA Ambassador

Looking for a new way to make a positive impact at The University of Alabama? Consider applying to become a WellBAMA Ambassador—a unique leadership opportunity for faculty and staff who are passionate about wellness and creating a healthier workplace.

What Is a WellBAMA Ambassador?

WellBAMA Ambassadors serve as wellness champions within their departments, helping connect colleagues to resources, programs, and events that support health and well-being. Whether it’s promoting challenges like Strive for Five or encouraging participation in WellBAMA health screenings, ambassadors play an essential role in building a culture of wellness across campus.

Becoming an ambassador is a chance to:

  • Support your team by sharing wellness initiatives and encouraging engagement
  • Grow professionally by developing communication and leadership skills
  • Make a difference in creating a more positive, healthy work environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues from across campus who share your interest in well-being

Ambassadors serve a two-year term (August 2025 – August 2027), averaging about two hours of commitment per month. They attend two in-person luncheons each year and serve as a direct link between the Wellness and Work-Life team and their departments.

No special wellness credentials are required—just a genuine interest in helping others and promoting healthy habits on campus.

If this sounds like something you would thrive at, apply before June 13 and become part of a growing movement to support well-being at UA.
