Between June 2nd and June 20th, UA employees had the opportunity to focus on their physical activity and sleep habits with the Summer Steps and Solid Sleep MoveSpring challenge. 283 people signed up within the MoveSpring app in hopes to move more during the day and sleep better at night!
The Challenge:
Participants were encouraged to take advantage of the beautiful weather, get moving, and stick to a healthy sleep routine throughout the challenge. They logged their physical activity in the MoveSpring app including: walks, runs, bike rides, stretching, strength training, swimming, etc. and marked if they completed 7-9 hours of sleep per night. If interested in receiving 15 WellBAMA Rewards points, participants had to average 8,000 steps per day. Every few days, participants received tips and check ins to stay motivated and accountable. The Results:
During the 19 days of the challenge, 258 out of the 283 participants logged activity and sleep. 16,470 miles were traveled and 37,573,177 steps were taken. Over 13,000 hours were slept and 124 participants averaged 8,000 steps/day to received WellBAMA Rewards points. You could say we’re impressed! We also chose 30 random participants successful in the challenge to win a pair of WellBAMA sunglasses.
