This March, WellBAMA celebrated National Nutrition Month by giving employees a chance to connect, learn, and think about their everyday eating habits through the Power of Nutrition Recipe Club. A total of 33 employees joined discussions and 28 recipes were shared. While these numbers show strong participation, the real impact went beyond attendance.
The recipe club was based on the 9 principles of the Blue Zones, like moving more, eating more plant-based foods, having a sense of purpose, and staying connected with others. These ideas were broken down into simple, everyday habits. This made it easier for employees to see how small changes can fit into their daily lives.
Participants not only learned about nutrition, but they shared recipes, talked through ideas, and found easy ways to make changes that worked for them, like adding kale or seeds to their meals to boost nutrition. These small steps can help improve energy, focus, and overall well-being at work and at home.
The Power of Nutrition Recipe Club showed that lasting change often starts small and works best with support. By bringing employees together through food and conversation, it made healthy eating feel more simple, helpful, and doable.
