“What a great way to spend a summer evening with my family as part of a UA event!” – Family Fun Night attendee
On Wednesday, June 17, nearly 200 UA faculty, staff, and their families came together at the Student Recreation Center Outdoor Pool Complex for an unforgettable evening of summer fun, connection, and celebration.
Families enjoyed a lively night of swimming, laughter, and time spent with coworkers, friends, and loved ones in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Fresh popcorn and beverages were served, along with food trucks that added even more variety and excitement to the evening.
One of the biggest hits of the night aside from the pool was the fresh popcorn—an unexpected favorite that disappeared quickly and had families coming back for more. Huge slices of pizza and delicious desserts were also crowd favorites and added to the fun.
A special guest also made an appearance—Maggie, UAPD community canine—who stopped by to join in the fun and added even more smiles to the evening!
From poolside conversations to splashing in the water, the event was full of energy, joy, and connection. It was a perfect reminder of the power of stepping away from daily routines to enjoy movement, community, and summer together.
